Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering

Orders can be placed through the website using any major credit card or a Purchase Order number from your institution. New customers requesting a PO purchase will be asked to fill out a New Customer Intake form. Purchase inquiries can also be sent to info@aliumbio.com

We accept all major credit cards. When using a PO we can accept ACH and wire transfers. Purchase Orders are conducted under Net 30 terms starting on the day orders are dispatched.

A notification email will be deployed when your items are ready to ship. On the email you will be able to find your tracking number that will link to the FedEx site detailing the status of your shipment.

Accounts

When placing an order through the website, you will be prompted to create an account. Please be certain to supply accurate information since this will be our way to communicate back to you.

If you forget your password and resetting has failed, simply reach out to tech@aliumbio.com for assistance.

If your contact information or shipping address has changed, updates can be made through the Edit Account link.

Shipping

All orders are packed on dry ice following both U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) specifications. Shipments are sent via FedEx Priority Overnight. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification to include a tracking number.

All in stock orders received by 2:00 PM EST that are purchased with a credit card or a PO number from an approved vendor will be packed and shipped no later than the following business day. Alium reserves the right to postpone shipping due to events such as severe weather or nationally observed holidays.

Alium will send you an email notification once your order has shipped to include your FedEX tracking number.

Cell Info

Cells should be stored in vapor phase liquid nitrogen if available. If not, please store in a -80C freezer until use.

Cells should be thawed in a timely manner to reduce exposure to DMSO. Medium should be added to the cells slowly to avoid osmotic shock. Centrifugation should be performed to ensure that all DMSO is removed.

Alium recommends that cells be saved in cryogenic vials using a freezing medium of serum plus 10% DMSO. It is highly recommended that cells be placed in a specially designed freezing container that controls the cooling rate to -1 degree per minute when stored at -80C.

Yes, the anticoagulant ACD-a is used in the collection of both bone marrow and peripheral blood.

Donors

Yes, all Alium samples are sourced from consenting adult donors and are collected in a clinical setting under strict protocols and guidelines.

Yes, Alium offers the unique ability to purchase various biological samples from a single donor source. Simply reference the Donor ID to search what is available.

When you create an account we collect only necessary information. Alium Biologics does not share, sell, or distribute your information in any way.
